HIAG (Hilfsgemeinschaft auf Gegenseitigkeit der Angehörigen der ehemaligen Waffen-SS) is an organization of Waffen-SS veterans that helps other Waffen-SS vets who were wounded or handicapped and are having trouble making ends meet in their golden years. Actually, I believe German W-SS veterans do receive benefits now. The "wounded or handicapped" bit is a smokescreen. The organization promotes extreme-right and neo-Nazi causes.
I know Rob that you always wants proof what other claims. And what is your
proof for this statement? I know several SS-vets who have gotten money and help from "Sozialwerk Paul Hausser", mostly of them was living in the former DDR or other coutries such as Hungary, Rumania, the Baltic countries etc. I have never heard of any "Neo Nazi group" who has recieved money from HIAG.
