LSSAH/Sepp Dietrich's Funeral

I was taken to Sepp's grave about 10 years ago when visiting the area, still
had fresh flowers and wreaths.
In Ludwigsburg, at the top of the hill on the western side of the main drag the
old LSSAH barracks are now government offices and apartments, painted a
rich sandstone yellow.

Hi there alltogether.
I am a new member in this Axis-History-Forum.
And I´ve found a picture from Sepp Dietrich with my marvellous grandfather Hugo Kraas and Teddy Wisch. But I don´t know when they met each other. May be HIAG or a division-meet?
Take a look at and enjoy.
Cheers from Thorolf
Does anyone have more pictures or infos about my grandfather Hugo Kraas? I am always interested in!

Wisch
Lieber Thorolf,
A good friend of mine pulled my attention to this thread here on the forum and I just signed up.
For years I had been looking for a Teddy Wisch post-war photo! You cannot believe my surprise when I saw it last week being in Hamburg for business.
I collect LAH documents and photos and have probably the largest part of Teddy Wisch's heritage of award documents, photos, telegrams, letters, etc., etc. Unfortunately I never met him personally since when he past away in 1995 when I was still in school! I met his half-brother Waldemar a couple of times though and other friends from the HIAG-Freundeskreis in Hamburg have told me about Wisch.
What ever happened to your proud grandfathers things? What a great soldier!
Would you want to share something about your memories of yr grandfather Hugo Kraas with us on the forum? Feel free to contact me also on my priate email.

Re: LSSAH/Sepp Dietrich's Funeral
These pics were posted by "Gran Sasso" in the http://www.wehrmacht-awards.com forum.
http://www.wehrmacht-awards.com/forums/ ... 7s+funeral
There are more pics in that thread and some men were identified but some others not. Could you help me id these men please?
I will start with these two photos:
Nr. 1 = the man talking on the microphone is Wilhelm Bittrich and just behind him Max Schäfer (you will see him better in the second pic). The rest are unknown for me.
Nr. 2 = starting from the left with the man in wheelchair, could this man be Theodor Wisch. I may be wrong but I think I read somewhere that he lost his two legs, am I right? Then we have Heinz Macher holding the pillow with Dietrich's medals.
After Macher = unknown, Max Schäfer and the rest unknown.
Any help is much appreciated.

The man in wheelchair is not Theodor Wish because he not lost his legs. He was severely wounded only on right leg.FANGIO wrote:Nr. 2 = starting from the left with the man in wheelchair, could this man be Theodor Wisch. Also I think that second from right on the color foto maybe is Ernst Barkmann, but I'm not sure.

And more...
I consider that man immediately to the right of the camera maybe is Paul Hausser.

On the first pic first on left is Heinz Macher too and second from left maybe is Johannes Göhler. He also maybe is third from right on the b/w foto with Dietrich's coffin, where is first from right maybe is Albert Stenwedel.FANGIO wrote:mmm... not so lucky with those one.
