SS-Gruppenführer Heinrich Müller
I am interested in obtaining more information about the case of Francis Willard Keith who was identified in 1967 as Gestapo Müller by Müller's wife. Does anyone have any information on this case please?
Thanks in advance,
Max.
Thanks in advance,

Müller
Keith was discovered in Panama in 1967. I know that Müller's son and wife, both of whom had not seen Müller since February 1945, agreed that Keith was in fact Heinrich Müller. This was four years after Müller's grave in Berlin-Neukölin had been opened and the remains interred were found to be that of a very young man.

Have you already read the 'Analysis of the Name File of Heinrich Mueller' by Timothy Naftali, Miller Center of Public Affairs, University of Virginia
Norman J.W. Goda, Ohio University
Richard Breitman, American University
Robert Wolfe, National Archives (ret.)
which can be found here : http://www.archives.gov/iwg/declassifie ... eller.html

According to the information found there 'in 1967, a false sighting of Mueller in Panama led to the arrest there of one Francis Keith, who was released once fingerprints revealed he was not Mueller.'
Their conclusion states - 'More information about Mueller's fate might still emerge from still secret files of the former Soviet Union. The CIA file, by itself, does not permit definitive conclusions. Taking into account the currently available records of the War Room as well as other documents in the National Archives, the authors of this report conclude that Mueller most likely died in Berlin in early May 1945.'
