Not sure if this should be in the warcrimes section - but since the SS men Polish thread is still running - here goes

Looking for ANY information on the following men sentenced to terms of imprisonment by Danish Courts.

Fritz Beck
Hermann Berndt
Rudolf Brand
Otto Dohlmann
Walter Gross
Horst Issel
Paul Jess

Researcher -- Here's the only fellow from your list that I've seen:

Issel, Horst – {put on trial by a Danish court for war crimes; convicted and sentenced to 20 years imprisonment; released from Danish prison on a "no return" condition 12 Jun 1953 (NYT 13 Jun 1953:8:8).}

Hi David

Despite there being 80 Germans convicted of war crimes in Denmark (including 4 sentenced to death) nobody seems to know anything about these perpetrators or their crimes!

BTW . . the 4 death sentences were commuted.

The SD in Denmark formed death squads using right-wing collaborators to assassinate prominent Danes suspected of anti-German activism. These were the so-called "clearing murders." The SD in the Netherlands had a similar arrangement with Dutch collaborators, known as "Silbertanne-Aktionen." This has led me to wonder if the "death squads" we see today were not originally a Nazi invention.
