Himmler & Wolff
This is a well known photo of Karl Wolff and Himmler walking through a street in Berlin with Göring during a visit of Benito Mussolini. Can anyone recognise the two SS officers behind Karl Wolff please?
Thanks,
Max
Thanks,

Just a guess, but could the man at extreme left be Eugen Dollmann?

The photo is dated 1937. Does that equate to his rank?Michael Miller wrote:Just a guess, but could the man at extreme left be Eugen Dollmann?

Re: Himmler & Wolff
Sorry I couldn't see the photo, is this the photo in question? We see Dollmann as an SS-Hauptsturmführer (11 September 1938), so this should be after that date. Pavel Michaelk (in the link) said that this pic taken at Munich Conference (29/30 September 1938)...

Re: Himmler & Wolff
What is Christian name for of von Halden, and what is his rank at this time? (in this pic it's blocked by Wolff's shoulder)

Thank you, KLSS. Do you know more about this person, or maybe his last rank? It's strange I couldn't found his name everywhere...

Re: Himmler & Wolff
In the Caucasus and during the long and difficult fighting withdrawal, the European volunteers of SS-Panzergrenadier-Division Wiking had lost three battle-proven commanders with promising futures. The young commanders of SS-Panzergrenadier-Regiment Westland, SS-Obersturmführer Harry Polewacz, SS-Sturmbannführer Dr. Hans Joachim (Hajo) von Hadeln, who were killed the same day at the same location and SS-Sturmbannführer Steinert. All three had established their battalions and stamped them with their personalities. Hajo von Hadeln was born in 1910 and graduated at SS-Junkerschule Bad Tölz in 1935. He was one of the first to receive the Deutsche Kreuz in Gold in the Wiking 1941. Source: SS-Obersturmbannführer Franz Hack: Der Panzerdivision Wiking im Bild. Image: Commons: Bundesarchiv.

Thank you, Helge... The pic in Bundesarchiv should be easy to access (and the fact that he's a DKiGträger!), but I've tried combination of his name on AHF, Google, Google Images, and Wikipedia, and I got nothing! I don't understand...

Re: Himmler & Wolff
Can anyone confirm that Hajo von Hadeln served as an adjutant to Himmler please? Looking at the Munich photo and his portrait, they don't look like the same man.

Re: Himmler & Wolff
