Here is everything I could find on the internet so far (on other topics of this board, and on other websites), and that is not on this thread.

Re: Pics of Christian Tychsen
I bit of a peeve of mine is non-sequenced images. This occurs often with publishers to cut their costs.
The following four images were all taken by SS-Kriegsberichter Rudi Hoffmann annotated as having been taken between April-Mai 1943. The images are part of the Bundesarchiv collection. As is often the case with Bundesarchiv negatives they bear scratches or have issues with over/underdeveloped areas and exposure.
I have digitally corrected the four as best as is possible and placed them together. I always find this gives a better sense of the subject photographed on that day.

Re: Pics of Christian Tychsen
Awesome pictures!
Here is one more picture (from http://historeich.blogspot.fr/2017/01/s ... ns-le.html)
It was taken on 20th of April 1944 in Caussade, South-West of France. In the book by Stephan Cazenave "Panzers Normandie 44 serie : SS-Panzer-Regiment 2 DR", it is said that on this day, for Adolf Hitler's birthday, a ceremony took place. Tychsen made a speech and announced promotions; then there was a parade in the city of Caussade in front of Tychsen, who was then the regiment Kommandeur of Das Reich Panzer Regiment. The photo was taken at this parade. On Tychsen's left is SS-Sturmbannführer Dieter Kesten.

Re: Pics of Christian Tychsen
I can't edit or delete, so could an admin delete my seven unorganized posts? I will rewrite it with what I know about the photos.

Re: Pics of Christian Tychsen
This photography shows Tychsen as a SS-Obersturmführer. Therefore it was taken between June 1, 1938 and November 9, 1939. Then he might possibly have been : a platoon leader in 2.Kompanie, SS-Bataillon "N"; from December 1938 the commander of the 1.Kompanie, or from June 1939 the commander of 1./Panzerabwehrabteilung SS/VT.
Pre-war years.
The following images were taken in spring 1943. (The second might be older, since Tychsen doesn't seem to have yet the Ritterkreuz)

Maybe this portrait was shot on the same day?
And a (very, very) short film :http://68.media.tumblr.com/a2f57b394cf5 ... o1_400.gif

Re: Pics of Christian Tychsen
These 1943 pictures are from Kriegsberichter Grönert (http://www.kriegsberichter-archive.com/ ... /start-165).
Tychsen, then a SS-Sturmbannführer, was the commander of the II./SS-Pz.-Rgt. 2 Here we can see Tychsen (second from the left), Von Reitzenstein (first from the right, commander of SS-Pz.-Rgt. 2), with SS-Sturmbannführer Vinzenz Kaiser (first from left, commander of the III./(gep.) SS-Pz.Gren.Rgt "Der Führer") and SS-Standartenführer Arthur Heinrich Harmel (commander of SS-Infanterie-Regiment Deutschland). The photo was taken after march 31, since Harmel has the Ritterkreuz.

Before April 20, 1943
After March 31, 1943 (Tychsen has the Ritterkreuz)
Hitler gives the Oakleaves to Tychsen (they were awarded to him on December 10, 1943).
