Jerome

Paul Heinecke

DoB- 2.8.08
NSDAP Nr. 4 580 635

U'Stuf. 20.4.40
O'Stuf. 3.11.40 Krim.Kom. 17.8.40
Hpt'Stuf. 1.1.42
Krim.Rat 5.5.44

I don't know if Heinecke was in the RSD of Hitler's personal bodyguard. His file and several of his awards which I have indicate a background in the LPG Göring and service protecting Göring. Do you have information that Heinecke was in Hitler's bodyguard?

Jérôme,

I have that book and saw the listing for Heinecke. I have had his file and documents for almost ten years. The Johson book lists members of the RSD, but does not designate which RSD unit to which they were assigned: Hitler, Goring, Goebbels, etc. Heinecke has two awards, for KVK if I remember, which were issued through Gorings office. His last promotions were signed by Heydrich and Himmler. But he had service with the Prussian police, LPG Goring, then the LW and then into the RSD in 1940.

Jérôme, I find some features curious in the Johnson book. There are 125 listings of members of the RSD which we are told were secured from Himmler's personal files. The January 1945 listing is incorrect at least as far as Heinecke is concerned. There are no footnotes, only a general list of reference books & contributors. Hoffmann's book on Hitler's personal security was superbly researched and well documented, yet he did not find the list of the RSD which Johnson has published. I would like to have known more about Aaron L. Johnson, his writting background and so forth. No more information was given. Except for the list of the RSD members, the book is basically a rehash of Hoffmann's work and articles found in "After the Battle" plus some general III Reich history and the day to day schedule of Hitler found in David Irving's Hitler's War. But it was all bound together in the quality production of Bender Books. So I am curious if this is a correct list. Do you know any more about it? How about you Phil?

Thanks for your deep and detailed comment about this book, May'be Phil could add his contributions to us, to clear this list problem.

Regarding SS-Hstuf Franz Lutz I can add the following:
Kriminalrat der Polizei.
Security-Officer from Rudolf Hess.
