"Himmler teilt den bis auf Rudolf Siegert und Franz Alfred Six versammelten Amtschefs des RSHA am 08.06.1942 mit, er wolle selbst die Leitung des RSHA übernehmen, bis er einen geeigneten Nachfolger für Heydrich gefunden habe (Quelle: Dienstkalender Himmler). ...... Neuer Chef des RSHA wird im Januar 1943 schließlich Ernst Kaltenbrunner".

On 08.06.1942 Himmler informed his RSHA-Amtschefs (chiefs of the departments of the Reichssicherheitshauptamt) -with exception of Siegert and Six - that he intended to take charge of chief of the RSHa himself until he has found a suitable successor for Heydrich. (source: Himmler' s diaries for duty) ... Kaltenbrunner raised up to the new chief of the RSHA in January 1943.

Hi all,

Just a little supplement: Streckenbach was Stellvertreter des Chefs des RSHA (under Himmler) 11.7.1942 - 10.12.1942, when Hitler approved of Kaltenbrunner as new Chef RSHA from 30.1.1943.

Regards,

Lars

EuroEnglish
The European Commission has just announced an agreement that English will be the official language of the European Community (EU) - rather than German (the other possibility). As part of the negotiations, Her Majesty's Government conceded that English spelling had some room for improvement, and has accepted a 5 year plan to phase in new rules that would apply to the language and reclassify it as EuroEnglish. The agreed plan is as follows:

In the first year, the soft “c” would be replaced by “s”. Sertainly, this will make the sivil servants jump with joy. The hard “c” will be replased by “k”. This should klear up konfusion and keyboards kan now have one less letter.

There will be growing publik enthusiasm in the sekond year when the troublesome “ph” is replased by “f”. This will reduse “fotograf” by 20%.

In the 3rd year, publik akseptanse of the new spelling kan be expekted to reach the stage where more komplikated changes are possible. Governments will enkourage the removal of double letters, which have always ben a deterent to akurate speling. Also, al wil agre that the horible mes of the silent “e”s in the language is disgrasful, and they should eliminat them.

By the 4th year, peopl wil be reseptiv to lingwistik korektions such as replasing “th” with “z” and “w” with “v” (saving mor keyboard spas).

During ze fifz year, ze unesesary “o” kan be dropd from vords containing “ou” and similar changes vud of kors be aplid to ozer kombinations of leters.

After zis fifz year, ve vil hav a reli sensibil riten styl. Zer vil be no mor trubls or difikultis and evrirun vil find it ezi to understand ech ozer.

ZE DREM VIL FINALI KUM TRU! :D

Kaltenbrunner was not of a tepid intellectual disposition. His 113 IQ at Nuremberg was conditional of the fact that he had suffered a sub-arachnoid hemorrhage in his brain which as a consequent affected his intellectual ability. An IQ test does not indicate deep seated intelligence, rather it characterises an individual's problem solving capabilities. For example, Göring scored well above Hans Frank, but as the prison psychologist noted Frank's knowledge of culture, academics and the law clearly remarked him as a superior mind. As most have correctly asserted, Kaltenbrunner was an unscrupulous fanatic and brute whose very nature was so far exempt of anything good. All those on trial had traceable humanity and faintly relatable qualities, however Kaltenbrunner was a thoroughly evil man who only dealt in the harshest absolutes.
