Dear all

Thank you very much for your answers.

Your answers offered me new questions:

1. Was is the Milizia Armata?
2. The Selbstschutz Westpreussen still exist in the year 1939
3. Did wrote his name Scharfe or Scharf? On the website von Marcus Wendel is written Norbert Scharfe, with an "e". Andreas Schulze writes also with an e at the end.
4. Served he once with 7. SS-Gebirgs-Division "Prinz Eugen" and was he a kind of HSSPF for Adria or worked he "only" for this man?

Michael
The most of the informations are from that website which you have indicated.

But thank you very much once more for the additionnal answers.

Greetings

thomas

The DAL for Dec 1938 shows his name as Scharf without an 'E'
HSSPF only applies to senior officers Adria was in Italty and was under the Höchster SS und Polizeführer Italien (Karl Wolff) I have a note that a SSPF was operatring for Ardia-West in April 1945 under Ludolf von Alvensleben (the Staf not the Gf)
Milizia Armata was formed under Bf Peter Hansen from Italien personel as a forunner of the 29 Waffen Grenaider-Division der SS (Italienische Nr 1)
Scharf also served as Ib SS Div Wiking 1943 - 1944

Sorry, it´s my mistake. The correct name is Scharf.

BTW: Also my name is without "e", Schulz not Schulze.

Hi Phil,

what is your source?
The last position of Scharf what I found in his SS personal file was:
"31.12.1943 vom SS-Panzer-Grenadier-Ersatzbataillon 31 zum Kommando Militia Amata versetzt"

Dear Andreas

Sorry, that i have written Schulze instead of Schulz. I was only confused because on the website of Marcus Wendel is also written Scharfe.

Have a nice weekend.

Until now still no solution to this matter. Hopefully Phil can clear this up for us because of course we all
wanna know if he indeed served as Ib with Wiking Division.

And does anybody has some more info about the ranks he held???

I'm curious what he was before 1937 and what he was before he was made SS-Hauptsturmführer d.R.

And does anybody know when he was promoted to SS-Hauptsturmführer d.R.????

Does anybody know where he was born???

Thanks,
Mikedc

How confused can you be if you first write down somebodies birthplace and afterwards you ask for
the birthdate from that same person??? I was probably pretty confused when I asked this, but still,
AnDie, thanks for telling.
But the info about his promotion to SS-Hauptsturmführer d.R. was new to me, so that's indeed
highly appreciated.
