SS-Obersturmbannführer Erich Braun

I have two different versions regarding this officers SS-number.

SS-Obersturmbannführer Erich Braun,

First source is saying SS-nr. is 43.733.
Second source is saying SS-nr. is 42.733


If somebody knows the correct one, just let me know.

Dienstauszeichnung der NSDAP in Bronze (presumably- NSDAP-Nr. indicates he joined 1932 and was therefore eligible)

Totenkopfring der SS
Ehrenwinkel für Altekämpfer

Hello Michael,

Thank you very much, that's what I wanted to know. I myself thought the 42.733 was just a typing-error but because it was also a very reliable document(J. Moore's 4. SS-Polizei-Pz.Gren.Div. Officer Listing)I thought I should ask the forum.

So thanks for clearing this one up, apparently a type-error occured in the document from J. Moore.

I only wanted to know the correct SS-number.
