And if I'm correct the following person also served in 'Wiking'.

Eugen Katz.
Member SS(nr. ??).
In August 1944 he was SS-Standartenoberjunker and Zugführer with 1.(UB)Kompanie from
SS-Nachrichten-Ausbildungs-Abteilung 4 with 4. SS-Polizei-Panzergrenadier-Division.
Before that he had served with SS-Division(mot.)‘Wiking’, this till he wounded at one of his legs.
End of 1944 he got promoted to SS-Untersturmführer.

Who has some more info about this man, like DoB/birthplace, SS-nr. ???

Greetings,
Mike

According to 'Die Personen-Lexikon der NSDAP' following officer also served at some point in 'Wiking'.

SS-Stubaf Lorenz Baier.
Born: 21-12-1911
Served between end of 1942 and January 1944 in 5. SS-Division 'Wiking'.
Don't know the unit(s)he served in and also don't know when exactly.

Hello Mike,
Did 5. SS-Feldersatz-Bataillon fight at Offingen/Donau on April 25th 1945? I have got a casualty list containing 77 names. Just in case you are interested.

Hello Ulrich,

I really can't tell, I'm so into battles and stuff, I'm just collecting info on SS-officers.
I wish I could help you a bit more.

I presume that casualty-list contains names of SS-officers as well????
If that's the case you always can pm me if you want.
Maybe some names are on it that I don't have yet.

Take care,
Mike

And also the following officer should have served in 'Wiking'.

Heinz Schüssler.
Member SS(nr. 419.192).
SS-Untersturmführer.
In October 1944 he was OO with 1. Kompanie from SS-Panzer-Regiment 5 ‘Wiking’
withing 5. SS-Panzer-Division ‘Wiking’.
Died(KIA)on 1-3-1945.

Does somebody know his DoB/birthplace???
And when he was killed, did he still serve in 'Wiking' or not??
And does somebody know where he was killed???

Thanks for any additional info.
Still hoping also some more info on the officers mentioned earlier will be posted, if someone has something
of course.

Mike

Hello Hugo,

Thank you very much for this info, highly appreciated of course.
And of course it's no surprise to me that this officer is also on one of J. Moores lists.

Do you know anything more by any chance about the other officers I did mention earlier in this post???

Take care,
Mike

Schussler.
Member SS(nr. ??).
SS-Untersturmführer d.R.
In Spring 1945 he was commander from a Jagdpanther and at the beginning of April 1945
he served within Kampfgruppe ‘Wiking’, under Nicolussi-Leck.
This unit was fighting in and around Hannover at that time.

What could be his Christian name???
Does somebody know more about this officer???
Just found him in my files as well.

Hello Phil,

Thanks for the info, should have mentioned it myself because all this was also written down in
'Die Personen-Lexikon der NSDAP' so all what you tell here I already knew.

But that's okay, you just did what you thought was right, I was a fool for not wrting down all the
info I found about this officer. So I apologize for the confusion.

I'm only hoping to find out in which 'Wiking'-unit he served and when exactly.

Greetings,
Mike
