Hi from Denmark
The Island of Sylt are one of the Nordfriesissche Inseln (Island of North-Friessland) in the Northsee, and not related to any of the british Channel Islands. It`s placed Nordschleswig (Southern DK) best know are the coast by Westerland.

Hello Ludger,

I simply thinks he means German National Badge for Physical Training and the Deutsches Reiterabzeichen(in English German Horsemans Badge).

Maximilian List was working within the Staff from the Höchster SS- und Polizeiführer 'Italien' when he was working in Italy in 1944.

Just a quick couple of interesting points about Sylt. I believe that SS-Gruf. Heinz Reinefarth was a post-war mayor on the island. A little known fact is that Sylt is where Dr. Josef Mengele's wife came from.

Hello Phil,

Yes, he was. Look at this: Am 22.

So he CO from this camp between 5-3-43 till March 1944 and then he was succeeded by G. Braun who led the camp till it was closed on 24-6-1944.
