Westrin got Iron Cross 2:nd class, East medal and Finnish Freedom Cross second class.

Thanks, it's really a shame that Schön didn't write about theses awards. Nor did he mention that the SS AA 11 were one of the first units to recieve the new Sturmgewehr, on the picture it looks like a Mkb 42, am I right?

Yes, the one where they look at a map I think. It looks like a haenel Mkb 42.

Ok, I'm no weaponexpert at all so I can't say, all I know is that it's a Sturmgewehr but have no idea when it came or what unit's who got it first etc.

However much information is missing and much is false or wrong.

thought that I knew a lot of World War 2. Do you peoples get your information from the net or a books. I read a lot of books about it but usually biographies.
