Dachau trails
Hi Researcher,
thanks, your hints have really helped me a lot!
It`s almost surprising that against my sources Henkel, Kalte, Loser and Plitt were aquitted instead of convicted in their case, but this does correspond with my info that only Hafner and Bury were executed on the 19th Novembre 1945 in Landesberg.
Sincerely
Markus

Hi David,
Thanks for your tips.
The site you are referring to seems to be very inaccurate here and there, so be alarmed in respect of historical research. One example are the putative death sentences imposed on kalte, Loser and plitt in case 12-1397.
According to your post “American military tribunals at Dachau 1945-1949”, they were not even tried. (Maybe dismissed or a case of nolle prosequi?)
This incorrectness concerning the Bury/Hafner-trail could be corroborated with a lot of other sources of information:
http://www.ess.uwe.ac.uk/WCC/bury.htm
To give another example it is also listed that Ludwig Firmenich was sentenced to death in 12-1115 on this site. In fact he got life!
Sincerely,
Markus

Markus and Researcher -- Double-checking on case 12-1397, a contemporary news story in the New York Times published 18 Jul 1945, p. 8, column 3, suggests (without naming the men) that Henkel, Kalte, Loser and Plitt were acquitted in the trial.

Hi Researcher & Dylan
first of all thanks a lot for your helpful informations.
According to my researches, Waldemar Feldmeier was executed on the 5th Novembre 1948 along with a certain Hartmann (Nikolaus?) in Landsberg. Could it be Feldmeier was tried twice? In fact I found serveral defendants who served in various concentration camps or were involved in different flyer lynchings and tried and convicted two times (for example Paul Winkler received the death sentence in case 12-1915 and later again in case 12-551).
Will check the list of trails again…
Note that your posts contradict in certain aspects (Gotthardt Parzyk death sentence later commuted to life or life – sentence)
Sincerely
Markus
