Post-war picture of Joachim Peiper

#5

Post by jv » 29 Sep 2005, 05:08

This may have been the last known picture of Joachim Peiper before his murder in Traves-sur-Saone on 13 July 1976 (source interview Revue 1976). In the same article is a picture of the 71-centimeter remains of Joachim Peiper's body after his murder. (Because of the graphic nature of this image, you may decide not to publish it). jv

2 questions if I may:

1) What are the circumstances surrounding his murder/execution (as someone just previous to my post put it)?

2) I don't understand that second picture (is it a torso which has been beheaded and the limbs torn off?) and of the reference to
the 71-centimeter remains of Joachim Peiper's body after his murder

Peiper was sentenced to death for the malmedy massacer, but was set free after a couple of years in jail.
But as posted before, he was murdered by unkown men in 1976.

And about his corpse: Fire can make bodies melt togheter to small mummies, and thats probebly what we see in the picture posted.

Thanks Lasse, I couldn't make any sense of the picture. To me it looks like an overcoat.

I for one see no "worshipping" here. Just a collection of photographs relating to a noteworthy personality of the Waffen-SS.

Regards,

I do, however, have a problem with a website address that identifies him as "a maligned hero" so I will delete that.
