Walter Girg was a Knight's Cross recipient so his biography should be available in any of the Ritterkreuzträger books.

Hello Luft300,

Yes, probably. But if you don't have any of those books(which is always possible for whatever reason)you have to
be satisfied with the things you'll find on the internet or on this forum. Or somebody is a bit helpfull.

Greetz,
Mike

Hello Phil,

Well, what can we say else then a nice and well ment thank you very much.
This was a hell to translate but it's done, a great looking bio indeed.

One question, can't read something on the first piece. Overthere you start describing his awards and
after the Bulgarian Bravery Award(17-3-1943)I can't read it(only the date I can read, 3-4-1943). Could you
tell me which award that was?????

Thank you,
Mike

Old thread.

I read some inte about Rolf Möbius that must ad or questioning. 1 I read that he died in 1984, according to my sources he died 25.8.1978 in Erbach. (DF) .

He had a pretty low SS-Number (17134) as well as a low party number - 442508. He was promoted to SS-HStuf in 1937, SS-Ostuf 36 and SS-Ustuf 35. Later and after going through the SS-JS braunschweig (39) he also rose to SS-Hstuf d.WSS in 30.1.43

In 1938 he was part of the III./94.SS-Standarte (fhr.b.)

I see that some claims that he was KDr of SS-Pz.Abt.501 what is the source of that ? His SSO has nothing about that.

Best regards
Georg
