Does this biography say that he served in World War I with 3rd Field Artiilery Unit?
That his postwar career included service with the FreiKorps and Stalhelm?
Did He serve a few years in prisionuntil the 1950's and was pardoned and or released such as Krupp; I.G.Farben leaders; Dr. Franz Six;?? DOD known?

You will find some bio-dates in the Cologne judgement: http://www1.jur.uva.nl/junsv/Excerpts/362inhalt.htm

Schäfer's wife was born 25 Feb 1906 in Breslau. Her maiden name was Lauterbach and she was not a member of the NSDAP. His son was born in 1935 and his daughter in 1929.

Do you know her name, Max? My father remembers her, but I'd like to check if he got the name right (he's very old and his memory isn't what it used to be). I didn't even know until recently that some of the Schäfer family possesions are still kept in my family.

Cheers,
Ivan

The Lebenslauf gives her parents' names, but I cannot see hers.
