Manchukuo - riverine incident on 28 May 1939

Post by lupodimare89 » 24 Mar 2020 16:52

I have recently collected some data about a mysterious border conflict riverine incident between the Manchukuo and the Soviet Border Guards (or other force). By clarification this is not the more "famous" loss of a gunboat by Japanese shelling occurred on 1937.

On this incident, the Soviets are clearly more on the winning side:

Yi Min (28/5/1939), En Min (28/5/1939)
The photo in the second link interestingly show a boat after the capture: we can see a rope at the bow

Asking in Russian forum over a more clear description of the incident, so far unsuccessful.
