Re: Bulgarian Artillery
Hi all,
I found this image on the net. I do not remenber the exact site, sorrry
According to Wikipedia Bulgaria bought 166 leFH18 howitzers in 1943-44. This photo seems to show that these howitzers (or at least some of them) were of the leFH18M version (see the muzle break), but with wooden wheels without tires, only for animal traction.
In any case, it is strange that Bulgaria bought these howitzers, when it already had in its inventory the 10.5cm leFH L30 (Rh).

Not strange at all, since the Rheinmetall gun was not in production

Re: Bulgarian Artillery
Hi Nuyt
When does Bulgaria received his 10.5cm Rh L30 howitzers? quantity??
On the other hand, here an image of an 75mm Krupp gun on Stanchev and Dobrev carriage towed on one-axle trailer for mot traction (Spa TL37 tractors, I think)

Sturm78,
There is another picture of this gun posted by carius on 8 Feb 2010 on the same thread (http://forum.axishistory.com/viewtopic. ... 6&start=15) with The Edge's answer further down.
The Edge mentions that it could indeed be a 7,5 cm M04 Krupp with the improved "Stanchev and Dobrev carriage" when looking at http://www.network54.com/Forum/330333/m ... orgot+this

Re: Bulgarian Artillery
Hi all,
I found this other picture on Ebay
I think it's an 10.5cm K18 Bulgarian gun with narrower wheels and different mot limber than standard german mot guns towed in one load by a halftrack
It appears that both 15cm sFH18 howitzers and 10.5cm K18 guns purchased by Bulgaria had these different wheels.
Any information/image about these pieces in Bulgarian Army will be wellcome

I think that it is also a 7,5 cm Krupp gun with the improved "Stanchev and Dobrev carriage". Compare with the pictures in the network54 link I mentioned earlier.
See on this page (posted by carius on 8 Feb 2010) an identical gun and another 8,8 cm Flak in Bulgarian service:

Re: Bulgarian Artillery
sorry for wake up a old threadSturm78 wrote:Hi all,
I found this image on Ebay: Bulgarian artillerymen with two 10.5cm sK18 field guns.
Has someone information about how many guns of this type were supplied to Bulgaria by Germany during World War II?
Regards Sturm78
if this guns were called D56 from bulgarian can not be the sK 18 they were 52 caliber lenght...
so they are not called D56 or are not sK18?
