Not sure what your asking. Are you assuming Finland did not have extra uniforms to send to Croatia? In late
1944 Germany sent of 100,000 sets of M-43 unfiroms to the NDH and Ustahsa. In the book FOR CROATIA & CHRIST: THE CROATIAN ARMY IN WORLD WAR II 1941-1945 , it sate's that in the winter of 1944-1945 the NDH recieved a large batch of Finnish unifroms. Not hard to believe since all photographic evidence shows a huge variety of different uniforms used for both NDH and Ustasha soldiers.

Dear Z-29,
So they were German manufactured uniforms; sort of an axis lend lease?

TH-M2,

Sorry, kind of wrote that wrong. In addition to Finnish uniforms, Germany sent 100,000 sets of German M-1943 uniforms. The Croatian Army did make uniforms for their soldiers. But the not enough to keep up with the demand. So they recycled old Royal Yugoslav uniforms ,(although they did some alterations to the uniforms like replace the collars with bottle green kinds). I've heard of all kinds of nationalities uniforms the NDH and Ustasha used for their men. (Even heard of a donation from Spain). Nothing would'nt surprise me.

Who is they? Do you mean the HOS?

I thought the NDH made only once model if uniform; the M-1941 uniform. The rest were old Jugoslav uniforms

HOS - Hrvatske oruzane snage 1944-45 ;).Well, about those blue uniforms there are few theories - one is that they were originally made for ROA (russian axis troops), but they later transfered to NDH, and other is that Germans sold materials and NDH made them.No one knows for sure.

About Madsen machine guns, I found here another proof for their use in the Army of NDH:
Riffelsyndikatet was a Danish arms factory founded in 1900 as Compagnie Madsen. Later the firm was known as first Dansk Rekyl Riffel Syndikat A/S and later as just Riffelsyndikatet. From 1936 the official name of the firm was Dansk Industri Syndikat A/S.

The main product was the Madsen machine gun. Riffelsyndikatet sold arms to the German armed forces during the occupation with Hærens Våbenarsenal (: the Arsenal of the Danish Army) as subcontractor. Furthermore, the firm exported arms to Finland, Croatia and Hungary. Some of these activities had been cleared by the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, but after the war the firm was sentenced as a collaborator by Revisionsudvalget for Tyske Betalinger (: the Investigation Board for German Payments).

Just found footage of not one but Finnish "Suomi" sub machine guns used by Ustasha troops. Cannaot tell what year the footage was shot. But in the same clip is Ante Pavalic.

Check it out at 2:02 to 2:09

Thanks guys, They sure seem to look like traight-mags being used by the two bodyguards(?) The other interesting thing about same clip is that Pavelic seems to be wearing the Ustasha side-cap instead of the visor hat he usually wear's.
