I am interested in the Axis allies night fighters, except Romanian ones of course. Were there any night fighter aces from Axis nations?

I knew about Pauke, Pauke! thank you. My interest was in Axis allied night fighters, not German.

I always thought Germany was part of the Axis. I guess I just didn't understand this question. 8)

I originally said:

Btw, why aren't you quoting ALL my words?

Since this is the Germany's allies section I imagined it would be obvious I don't want info about the German night fighte runits, but Italian, Hungarian, Finish, Slovak etc.

Now if I might make one small suggestion, had you added an apostrophe to the word Axis, thusly: Axis', I would have understood the question. The apostrophe denotes, in this case, the possessive.

You must remember that not all of us are that familiar with English grammatics (Including me!)

Erik

I understand that and I meant absolutely no disrespect. I was merely explaining to the gentleman why I misunderstood his question.

If you read any or all of my past posts, you will see that I have never intentionally insulted anyone on this forum. Not then, not now, not ever. I have always treated everyone on this forum with absolute respect.

Personally, if someone were to correct my grammar while I was using another language, I would be grateful and thank them for the correction.

This is the forum dedicated to the Germany's allies. I again say: I thought it was obvious.
Btw, typing errors do occur, you know. This is not my basic language... :D

OK-Everyone has made the point that I am a dirty SOB and a rotten bastard. I swear I'll never try to offer any information to anyone again on this forum.

All I was trying to do was help you out with some information I mistakenly thought you could use.

Good-bye.

I have seen your postings here on this forum as long as it has existed, and I know that you nerver insult anyone!
I was just trying to break up between you two......

But:
I would guess that 8 of 10 postings I do, contains grammatic errors. I don`t think I would have posted unless I had to, if I was corrected everytime........

Zapfenstreich,

No need to be upset, I'm sure that the vast majority understand you were only trying to be helpful.

Hi Victor

Sorry I can't be of more help but there's not a lot around (IMO) about this subject. I could only find one axis night fighter unit, that being the Hungarian 5/1 based at Ferihegy, never mind individuals.

For Italy there was used the CR.42 and Reggiane Re.2001 among others if memory serves.

I believe also some Dornier Do.17(?) were purchased from Germany but no recorded kills.

Imo there was no need to go overboard on correcting a non-English speaker's grammar in this manner. Just me though live and learn /shrug
