Yep, I know this site(http://trident.mcs.kent.edu/~amarcus/Mihai/index.html) from some pretty long time ago. Ignoring the many bad parts of the royal regime, and minimizing koenig Karl's fatal errors. I wonder what Mihai Eminescu would have said about the monarchic system if he lived until the 40's...!!! George Cosbuc was very convinced about Romania's early years of monarchic rule (He composed a nice poem on the subject - "Spanzurati-l, de-i misel"!! )I wonder how Maresal-06 did not notice it. It is his favorite subject.

Here is a nice book on Eminescu's last years: Eminescu - martor al adevarului, by Theodor Codreanu

And? Is that meaning that he was "crazy"??? Is that meaning that his critics were unfounded? You'll be surprised to see that most of the great Romanian artists and polticians were fervent nationalists, and were disgusted by Romania's politicianism.(Eminescu, Cosbuc, Goga, Seicaru and others). Why did the liberals cenzure his articles in the press of the epoch, if Romania was so "modern and democratic"?...Even though I love his poems, I cannot say the same about his political views.
