An online acquaintance of mine claimed that the German invasion of Hungary in 1944 was not part of WWII because it was not between the Axis and Allies.
For those who know German and Hungarian history better, do they see it as part of WWII?

The little that I know about this as an "outsider" makes me to think that the German occupation of Hungary was so directly connected to the events of WW2 that it definitely was a part of WW2.
