General Petrovicescu Constantin

Hi,

I am trying to establish the correct year of birth for general de divizie Petrovicescu Constantin. All sources post war and after his death in 1949 I have seen gives 1883 as his year of birth. However all the Anuarul Armatei Romane that I have consulted (1908, 1911, 1914) gives 1881 as his year of birth. Does anyone have a pre war source that gives 1883 as his year of birth?

Hi,
I have checked multiple resources regarding his birth year and many of them say that the general was born in 1883 in Targu Jiu.

Hi

Were any of the sources you checked published prior to his death? I myself has encountered many (post war) sources that gives 1883 as the year of birth. However I am fairly positive that the man himself would have seen his entry in the Anuarul Armatei and corrected it if it was wrong, but I would like to verify it by other sources published before ww2 and his later death. Perhaps someone could check a later edition of the Anuarul Armatei?
Kind Regards
