Croatian military government under Ivan Prpic?
I recall having read an article or a book in the Internet in which it was said in passing that after the fall of Mussolini there was talk in Croatia about overthrowing Pavelic and replacing him with general Ivan Prpic. But I have been unable to find this article or book, nor any additional information. Does anyone know which article or book was it, or has additional information? Thank you very much.

It is interesting that the documents mentions the assassination attempt on Prpic's life as being a sort of 'safety measure' taken by the Ustase, as it was presumed Prpic would uncover many details of their movement and in likely contrast to the leadership of Pavelic. This is but a hint for an attempted coup, I believe.

I know this thread has been two months inactive, but I wanted to say that I have found the book where I read about that (https://issuu.com/rivista.militare1/doc ... gola-testo). On page 824 it says:
I wonder if there is no other source about that.
