Locotenent-colonel Turturianu, Romanian Airforce

Post by CNE503 » 21 Feb 2021 09:42

Hello,

Has anyone information about this officer?
He was the Romanian liaison officer within the German air coordination staff between the German and the Romanian Airforces (Deutsches Verbindungsstab Oberst Bassenge) in Summer 1941.
His name may have been spelled Turtureanu instead of Turturianu, even if it was written in this latter form in the German documents.

Thank you/multumesc.
Regards,

Some elements led me to think that this officer was Gheorghe Turtureanu, who took command of the newly-created 7th Antiaircraft Regiment on July 1st, 1942 as a colonel. For instance, this officer spoke German fluently.
