Italian occupation units in Odessa 1941-44

I’ve read that the CSIR (Italian rapid Corps)-the forerunner of the Italian 8th army on the eastern front,participated in the occupation of Odessa after its fall in 1941.
Does anyone have any further information about this?...if Italian units were used as an occupation force,did they collaborate with the (much larger) Romanian occupation force,and also participate in the massacres of Jews after the destruction of the Romanian HQ in Odessa on October 22nd,1941?
