We know Russia and Bulgaria had very close ties, until the end of WW 2. I notice MG Radko Dimitriev served in the Russian army during WW !. He commanded Armies 12-20-3 and 8, and was executed by the Reds on October 1918. He is one of your ommissions.
In the next day or 2 I will have a list of more names you are missing.

Hi dibo, am working on your list now. Please don't use yellow. It is impossible for me to read. As far as sources, a lot is from Wikipedia, plus there was a web site, years ago, from France I think, which listed generals from many countries. This site is no longer online. I appreciate your corrections to my mistakes.

Hello dibo,
The links on Georgi Marchin and stepan Popov do not work. Also, i found 10 or 12 photos in the wrong space, They are identified by name, but follow the biography of a different general officer.

We had a major crashdown on the Boinaslava forums' database recently and we are still recovering from it. Please when you identify these - send them to me for correction - thank you in advance.

I have gotten these from Ebay for a while.

Bottom is Nikola Ribarov to complement Dibo's fabulous work. Top is labeled just Hristov. I assume Pavel Hristov.

Cheers

Hi, does someone know who is this Bulgarian general with Walther von Brauchitsch and Wilhelm List? The picture was taken in Sofia, April 1941.

This is Lieutenant General Nikola Hadzhipetkov, who was then Chief of Staff of the Bulgarian Army.
Some pics of him and a bio in Bulgarian here:

Another picture taken from the same event as above. Apart from Lieutenant General Nikola Hadzhipetkov (3rd from left), who are the other Bulgarian generals/officers with Walther von Brauchitsch?

As far as I understand these photoes are taken on 03.04.1941, Thursday, during the short 1 day visit of Walther von Brauchitsch in Sofia. The place on the second photo is the Sofia airport Vrazhdebna (and I think a Bulgarian Royal Air Force Czech built S-328 can be seen in the distance between the walking officers) and the moment captured is when von Brauchitsch is inspecting the official Guard of honor company from the Military School in Sofia (these are the soldiers) which greeted him.
The Bulgarian generals and officers are the Bulgarian Minister of War Lieutenant - General Theodosi Daskalov (see: http://forum.boinaslava.net/showthread. ... #post95384 and viewtopic.php?t=205992 and https://www.gettyimages.com/detail/news ... /543903069 and http://www.generals.dk/general/Daskalov ... garia.html - on the picture he is the first on the left), the Bulgarian Chief of Staff Lt-Gen. Hadzhipetkov (as already mentioned he is the 3rd one) and the Commander of 1st Bulgarian army and therefore of the Sofia garrison Major General Konstantin Lukash (the officer on the right to von Brauchitsch in the photo - the last one -see http://forum.boinaslava.net/showthread. ... #post98069 and http://www.generals.dk/general/Lukash/K ... garia.html).
One of the two officers in the farthest row should be the then Chief of the Operational Section in the Bulgarian General Staff, Colonel Ivan Konstantinov Popov, who described the visit in his memoirs (Strangely enough I have not been able to find a photo of him yet though) and the other could be the then Head of the Military School in Sofia Major-General Nikola Mihov (see http://forum.boinaslava.net/showthread. ... #post94939 and http://www.generals.dk/general/Mihov/Ni ... garia.html).
