Was it really US consulate in NDH? As I understand it was US consulate in Yugoslavia and after US recognize Yugoslavian government in exile on 18 May 1941, consulate was closed shortly after by NDH authorities.

Dear Kacko,

USA continued diplomatic relations with Yugoslavia, "shocked by unprovoked and barbaric agresssion", (FRUS, 1941, Vol. II, pp. 979—98);
Meanwhile US consulate was active in Zagreb to 22.06.41, when was closed by the American help for "Anti-Axis war enemy".

But I get you next move

Cheers
