Feldkuche Manufacturer and Instruction Placards

#16

Post by Michigan Dawg » 02 Jun 2007, 15:30

On a related note, I'm looking for images of the manufacturer's data and instructional placards found on the rear face of the feldkuche.

Thanks for any help that can be given.

I have photo copies of H.Dv. 86/1 from 1939, M.Dv. Nr. 595 & L. Dv. 86/1 from 1940, I just don't have the time to translate it, I also have a rather extensive article with a weekly menu from a WW I Kriegsmarine Barracks, also in German.......
Sounds interesting - the 86/1 is referenced in the manual I'm working on now (HDv 86). If you have a scanner, would you be able to email a copy? If it's worth translating, I'd add it to the list.

Thanks,

Well, I could, but it will take some time, the Manual does afterall contain 72 pages.
there are also a few hand written amendments in Sütterlin Schrift which as I understand it were Divisional Directives instituted after the original print date.

I"m nearing completion of the 1941 Field Cookbook - I should have it in print by the end of the week.

I thought I would be a nice touch if I could give credit to the original owner, whose name was handwritten inside the cover as was customary in the day. I'm afraid deciphering the old hand writing is a bit beyond my talents. Any assistance would be appreciated

Thanks in advance for your continued support guys.

The above pictured cook book is now fully translated to English and in print (see below). 114 pages with a 14" color fold out at the back of the book with a seasoning herb table. More details and pictures are on my website now. $17, includes postage to U.S. addresses. Foreign postage is extra, please inquire.

Old tread, but I am restoring my field kitchen.
I am wondering if anyone do know if there are made replica dataplates for the small field kirchen?
