TOTVERBAND wrote:i was careful with my wording in order to not recommend something i haven't seen much feedback/conflicting feedback or tested out yet. the main complaints with the old batch were the oversized ankle/calf cut and the fast wearing-out of the soles/shottiness of hobnails. in terms of cut and quality of leather materials with exception to sole/hobnails the boots qualify as decent, but until i actually test the durability (won't presume atf fixed the sole issue) i cannot give a total recommendation. so if you need jackboots right this instant you're gambling with $185, but if you do find the soles/hobs to fail early on like the last batch at least you can salvage the boots by replacing the entire sole at the local cobblers/svec's sole restoration service.
I figured the sole issues wouldn't be corrected as this is more of a material problem. I think I'll wait.

I did and I should get them in a month or so. I got his low boots too and they are the best you can buy. I am sure he makes the best tallboots.

Corporal george or Daniel, have any of you gotten your Berger boots yet? I'm thinking of buying some from him, but some feedback from you guys first would be great.

Yes, I have got the boots and they are absolutely awesome. Mr Berger is also great to do business with. I will order a pair of lowboots later. Honestly, I don´t think you can find any better boots!

Hi there ,
yes I also have the boots and the low boots and they are perfect and worth every penny. you give Jan the measurements of your feet and you get custom made boots that will last a lifetime and probably longer.
highly recommended!!!!!
