Trouble contacting Lederarsenal

Post by Wehrmacht39 » 08 Jul 2013 21:58

Has anyone else had trouble contacting Jan Berger at lederarsenal.com? I've sent 2 emails and still no response. I'm interested in ordering a pair of his Wehrmacht low boots but I have a couple questions before I place an order.

Maybe someone here can answer my questions? First, I'm curious about the price - is EUR 239.50 the price with or without that 19% tax? And also, what do the shipping prices run to the US?

I just ordered some boots from him last month. He was quick to respond. Shipping will be about $50 depending on the size of your boots. There is no tax on items outside the EU, so you are fine.

I actually have one more question; As his boots are made-to-order, how does he get the correct size? I'm worried about spending a good some of money for a pair of boots to have them not fit me...

Just figured I would ask here rather than bother him with all the questions - he seems like a busy guy ;)

He will send you a measuring chart and you take your own measurements. They truly are custom made boots.

Thank you for answering my questions :)
I placed an order on the 4th, can't wait to get them! He says it'll be about a 4 month wait though. At my request he's making me a pair of M43 low boots rather than the M37 model that he has on his website. I'll post pics when they arrive.

Per request from Wehrmacht39, here are my boots. I've had them for 4 years. I do between 12-14 events a year and they've held up fine. I treat them regularly and replace the occasional hobnail. I put some original laces on them for that extra touch. Sorry for the dirt, I wore them to WWI in Newville, PA last weekend.
