Schütze (Heer) - Normandy 1944 (June 6) - questions

Hello,

As mentioned in the topic I have a few questions about a Heer Schütze in Normandy.

I decided to reenact as a German infantry private (weapon: Karabiner 98 Kurz) during the Normandy landings in 1944.

Because of that I wanted to ask about the uniform and equipment regulations of previously mentioned soldier in the day of the invasion (June 6) – what was an absolute necessity for a Schütze in terms of equipment? What uniform and helmet was required?

I also wanted to ask about companies or sources that you could recommend when it comes to a realistic depiction of German uniforms and equipment – I know a few, but I am not sure if they have good quality copies. I can give some links if necessary.

I apologize if my post is too “newbie”, but despite my interest in World War II history I do not think I am an expert and it is better for me to ask others about some things.

Regards.
