Hello
I hope some of you guys can help me
My name is Hugo. I'm a Screenwriter working on a spec feature project set in the US re eacting community and would really like to talk to folks in the WWII re encating community to hear about your experiences, impressions, what brought you to the hobby.
If you think you can help and might be willing to have a chat I have a short questionnaire attached. My interest in this is purely for entertainment purposes and accuracy.
Please lMK if you might be able to help. My email is on in my profile.
Hope to hear from some of you
Cheers !

Hello Re enactors
Quite a few views of my question which underlines for me how active your hobby is, I wonder if you can help me understand the reluctance to talk to someone outside of it ?
I do want to underline none of what I would ask is to be directly quoted its simply to make the story as accurate as possible, & make sure my understanding and use of terminology is correct. I want to stress that this project is in no way political. Its firmly rooted in the action genre
Personally I've been obsessed in many hobbies, Scuba diving, my vintage car, are two that have taken time, financial resources and home life so I really feel like i understand the urge to track down rare pieces of history, and the travelling involved to take part in events.
Here's my questions, any answers treated in the strictest confidence:
What drew you to re enacting
Please list your impression(s)
What is the best part of the re enacting experience for you
What is the worst part of the re enacting experience
What is your favorite re enactment event on the Calendar
What size is your re enactment group: Squad / Unit / Company … ?
Do you attended private re enactments
Is your equipment and gear all reproduction, or a mixture of genuine and repro
Are you involved in competitive re enactments and have you won any events with your impressions ?
Do you own any period vehicles ?
Would you be willing to talk further about the hobby ?
Cheers
