I can't imagine the feeling you had being able to dress up and act as the commander in an authentic Panzer.
You're so lucky man!

The panzer uniform i have is Wiking, but i re-enact with the LSSAH

BTW that was one huge tank. there was a Tiger II parked across the way from the panther and that thing was a MONSTER

Some people are just sooo lucky!!! I really want to join a re-enactors' organisation. You have to pay for your uniforms don't you? What's the minimum joining age?

you do have to buy your own stuff, although some events are paid events (meaning you get a small amount of money) I do Living History re-enacting, we fire authentic weapons with blank bullets as apposed to the airsoft that other members do. I can give you a link to a 1ss re-enactment group in Australia

(btw i was paid for those pics)

a shame this kind of thing is forbiden here in Brazil. I've been eager to join this re-enactment stuff since I've met a guy on ICQ (which I belive was in the LSSAH) from Utah who did this. he had everything from a K98 to an MG42 (though he had no FG42 :( ). well, maybe he was not from the LSSAH, I need to find his unit site anyway. By the way he is a red-haired guy that used to have wittmann somewhat or panzermeyer nicks on icq and lives in salt lake city if you happen to meet him... Great photos, did you have the oportunity to enter the KT?

the King Tiger was closed up, on one side the armor was cut away and you could see inside of the tank. i was also able to go inside a Panzer III, stug III and numerous american and brit tanks.
