Panzerfaust Question

#1

Post by AdolfDettmer » 01 Dec 2003, 21:20

I know in the later stages of WW2, German troops who were issued the Panzerfaust, often only cared one. Do reenactment units require their members to own other weapons? Or do they accept troops primarily armed with a Panzerfaust?

I would recommend that you acquire a personal weapon in addition to a Panzerfaust as you won't last too long in a firefight. Most soldiers in 1944-45 would have been carrying either an issue rifle (98k or StG44) and/or a pistol (P08, P38) as once the 'faust was fired, the tube was ditched, though the last model produced was capable of being reloaded to a maximum of 5 times.

Oh, I own a K98k and a K98(a) so i am not without a personal weapon. I was just curious.
