I have just re-located to the Langley/Ft Eustis/Norfolk area of Virginia. I did a "Search this topic" for "Va." Much to my chagrin, two letters are not enough to do a proper search. I typed "Virginia" and the only hit was the 1st SSLAH recce. In the spirit of "better late than never," please type out your entire state, commonwealth, province, or shire. Considering all the pages this thread now has, if any of you can "edit" your locations, please be so kind; it will make finding your unit easier, and newbies/refugees like myself will not have to ask, "Hey, is anybody in (your location here)?"

Vielen dank!

Dare Furer,

I am also in Virginia, from the Fairfax region, but is now in Blacksburg for school.

I noticed there are several people on the forum from the MD/DC/VA area saying about not being able to find a team, maybe be we can get together and form a group. :P

Currently in Cleveland, OH, but will be relocating to Athens, GA, in August. I have a generic US Medic and a generic Heer Impression. If you know of any groups in the GA that might be recruiting, please let me know. Thanks!

You cannot search "MD" "DC" "VA" "OH" "GA" etcetera, (for example, I used 'Va') because you get the prompt:
"The following words in your search query were ignored because they are too common words: VA .
You must specify at least one word to search for. Each word must consist of at least 4 characters (emphasis added) and must not contain more than 84 characters excluding wildcards."
So if you're wondering why the hobnailed boots aren't breaking-down your door to join your unit, maybe we cannot find you because you're using fewer than four (4) characters for your location.

There is IR226 in Virginia, North Carolina at the following: http://www.reenactor.net/units/ir226/1-226main.html

There is IR134 in Georgia and South Carolina at: http://ir134.proboards.com/index.cgi?

These are good basic Heer units and might be open to new recruits. Chris R.

Vielen dank, Chris! That's more like it. I was asked to find an SS unit for a "24-Hour Film Project" a couple weeks ago and couldn't find anyone easily.

An SS unit in Northern, Virginia? Aren't there tons of those things around???
Well, there are several in IR226 and IR134 that have multiple impressions. I know for a fact that everyone in IR226 has an alternate Afrika Korps and Kriegsmarine impression, not to mention that other things that they do...If you'd like some guys for a future production just contact me. Thanks! Chris Ruff
