Spanish Republican Soldier 2nd Free French Armoured Division

The Compañía Histórica 2éme. DB: “La Nueve” is a reenacting group that intends to remember the Spanish Republican soldiers that fought with the 2nd Free French Armoured Division, also known as the “Leclerc Division”. The 9th company (“La Nueve”), which was alsmost exclusively composed of Spaniards, was the first Allied unit to enter Paris on the 24th August, 1944, on vehicles that carried names such as “Teruel”, “Guadalajara”, “Ebro” and “Santander”.

The members of the current Compañía Histórica 2éme. DB: “La Nueve” want to present the different aspects of the life of Spanish exiles who fought as members of the Free French forces. In this way, we want to honour the memory of Spanish Republican soldiers who fought during the Second World War.

21st Infantry Division 23rd Regiment. both the CO and XO had attended a ost front battle in Sheridan Arkansas in March of this year. both decided there were way too many SS and not enough Heer, so we started a unit, On August 6-7 we attended a gun show and rented a table for recruiting and display, Imagine our surprise when we found ourselves on the front page of the hot Springs Sentinel Record the next day, heres the link: http://home.earthlink.net/~alindquist/i ... resize.jpg thats Wilhelm on the left and me on the right looking a little like Gen Burkhalter on Hogans heroes. when I saw it I recognized Will but not the old fat guy in my uniform. we now have a roster wih 18 names on it and are in the process of getting organized and kitted out.

Gruß
I'm commander of FJR1 headquartered in Colorado, with members in 7 states. 2 of our members are currently in Iraq. We are the oldest and Maby still the largest, with 21 members, Fallschirmjäger unit in the U.S. I started the unit in März 1981.
We have 2 MC combi's a repro Kubelwagen and a Type 92 (?) VW bug in the unit.
We're always looking for new members, be you a beginner or an old hand at reenacting.
Ours is about the second most expensive impression to do in WW 2 reenacting.
Transfers from other units are accepted, especially if you're moving into our area.
Fallschirmjäger Vor!
