My first crusher I used a USAF leather peak, very soft and thin leather but the inside is grey instead of brown.

I'm afraid I dont have the peak anymore. but look at any picture of a peak, one side is black and the reverse is brown, mine was grey.

crusher

Post by pzrwest » 15 Sep 2005 17:26

I have to locate some waffen fabre material and some bottle green material for the band main part before i can start on construction will post pics as i proceed. As for the beak i will just use some 1/8" tooling leather that can be bought at any good craft store. Then will stain the upper smooth side black and leave the under side un dyed.

Hi Gesetz,

nice caps... but one short question, how tall is the black band at your crusher caps? ;)

1,75 inches including piping. Not sure if it's right as you know David, I made them without any patterns.

I also made several crusher without any pattern, wich means the band sometimes is sometimes 2 inches and on another cap 1,50 inches high... (but my caps never looked nearly as good as your does, the main part always looks too "stiffly" and never is so "flexible")

Thanks anyway for the measurements, when I finished my first cap, that looks good, I'll post for comparison. ;)
