I recently sent a FJ helmet to Greg Barrett to be painted, weathered and a decal placed on it. He did an incredible job!!! The time to do this was only a few weeks . I very much recommend him for any helmet work!! He even did a great job on the straps.

His Email address is GBarr58@aol.com

Here are a few photos

Gents, Ladies:

A weathered, dented, and pockmarked M40, I did up for a member of our Kampfgruppe. First pattern decal on one side, and aged overall. Shell and liner are one of the Asian manufacturers.

Komeraden,
Although there's no deserts nearby, I've always had a soft spot for anything DAK, so here's my latest M40 that I well... "DAKED OUT" along with a double decal for more of a circa 1941 effect..

Here are the helmets in my collections done for reenactment purposes. All of them are original shells, but the M38 Paratrooper helmet one. I also have an M35 for me, that I usually use for reenactments and a M40 helmet that I lend to my brother, both with Splinter camo cover that are not shown on the pics.

Please, look at the last pic. Top row, in the middle, next to a M18 helmet. It is a M40 double decal helmet for the Blue Division.

The Blue Division was formed in July 1941, so M40 helmets were more common than M35 ones. I am a helmet shell size 64, which was a quite common size, so I guess I would have got an M40 rather than an M35 if I had been there.

The Spanish shield is painted rather than a decal, but it was quite common at the time.

I own more helmets, German and from other countries, but the above ones are most of the helmets I have got for reenactment purposes.
