Berghof Obersalzberg
Re: Berghof Obersalzberg
@Christian - Nice going, thanks a lot for those links
Re: Berghof Obersalzberg
Just wondering: has anyone here ever seen any photographs of the Berghof kitchen or the upper floors (other than the standard photos of Hitler's and Eva Braun's bedrooms and Hitler's study), or of the interior of the Adjutancy Building? Just wondering...??

Hi James,
I've never seen any interior photos of the Adjutancy, myself. Would love to see same.
I have a photo on my webpage of the kitchen in ruins after the war ... a rather poor photo. It's on the last half of this page - http://thirdreichruins.com/berghof.

I can't imagine it has anything in it that we haven't already seen.
Re: Berghof Obersalzberg
Hi Geoff,
Thanks as always for your good response. Very helpful, my friend! Sure wish someone would hurry up and create a Time Machine so we could go back and take a full set of photos of every room in the building complex...before their destruction! For me, my time is running out...!
Cheers,
Br. James

Re: Berghof Obersalzberg
Someone, somewhere, at some specific place in time took images of all the rooms in the Berghof.
Probably guests, servants, contractors, maintenance workers had to have taken photographs over the years the Berghof was in existence. I'm sure all the ones that are known, have been viewed already.
Probably on this forum too.
Ps: Although—I have seen some interesting images on Pinterest that have possibilities of being lost unpublished images—but, after all, at the late date in time, who could possibly know for sure.

Here is an old image of A. Speer, probably taken at his studio in the area.

here's one I found that I don't remember ever seeing. Could have been made of a guard with time on his hands?

A. Speer.jpg
It looks more like the balcony of the Berghof, in the direction of the adjoining building at the right. You can compare it with Harry von Gebhardts pics.
First Pictures shows the balcony with the railing and the roof overhang. An for the building in the background you can check the third picture, which has the same roof as in your picture.
Both Speer's home and his studio looked different, in my opinion.

Hi,
here's another one from Gebhardt's pics, which i've compared with your picture from Albert Speer. It shows the Berghof roof beam from the other side. The pattern is the same.

Re: Berghof Obersalzberg
I agree with Christian: the Speer photo appears to have captured him on the second floor balcony of the Haus Wachenfeld section of the Berghof, with the Adjutancy Building in the background. A great photo!

Yeah, for sure, there are some back in here somewhere ... pages and pages in the past. I remember discussing here several views of the guest room just above AH's office - the "Untersberg Room" - which was used by Rudolf Hess in his heyday. And I know you have posted some views taken in the upper hallway. But as for all those other rooms up there and on the top floor ... who knows.
And that photo of Speer on the balcony of what was once Haus Wachenfeld is just GREAT! Where DO you find those photos?

Re: Berghof Obersalzberg
Pinterest has become a great site to sleuth of ultra-rare unpunished images of Hitler and the Berghof. It's quite surprising what people post on this site, probably not knowing what they have.

Re: Berghof Obersalzberg
Interesting observation:
There are two images of Hitler that I have never been able to track down...
1.) Hitler wearing a finger ring.
2.) Hitler behind the steering wheel of an automobile.
I do not believe that any of these photographs were ever taken.
