Ha, look at that....all these years I just assumed that radiator was dragged there from another part of the room or house.

You learn something new everyday about that building...

Better view of the grid here. I think you can even see the "feet" of the radiator below.

Great photo, don't think I've seen that one before.

Strange place for a radiator, but I guess in such a large north-facing room you use every opportunity you can to add a little heat.

I read in memoirs of his staff that it was quite cold inside the Berghof. But apparently not because the heating was insufficient, but rather that AH prefered cold environment.

Hi all! Stumbled across this forum in my search of floor plans of the Berghof, in preparation of a visit next month. I visited the Obersalzberg and the Berghof-area around ten times now and it's incredible to experience tons of new details every single time.

It's a real treat to discover this forum and this topic in particular and see how many of you share those knowledge and facts. Does someone still has the floor plans (scans or pdf files) which where offered in this topic before?

Hello all,

This friend is one the great misteries of the Berghof, at least to me! Someone know who is he?

Best regards,
Yes, I have seen him in many photos and never with identification. A suggestion is Werner Haase but not yet confirmed.
Here is some more photos of him:
Mooslahnerkopf 1939-40.jpg
AH with Fritz Dreesen at Hotel Dreesen in Bad Godesberg.jpg
AH inspecting the constructions at Königsplatz in Munchen 1935.jpg
AH inspecting the almost complete Mangfallbrücke near München 1935.jpg

Here is a picture of Werner Haase in Soviet captivity for comparison and I think there is some resemblance.

Some more "radiator pics" for the fans of central heating :)
I think this first one closes the issue of the mislpaced radiator beyond a reasonable doubt :)

The Lady isn’t Ilse Braun, although she is occasionally suggested to be. I don’t know her name but I think she’s a relative of the Braun family. She appears regularly in EBs movies, more than Ilse in fact who rarely does. This picture from EBs album number 28 in the National Archive captioned Christmas 1938 proves the point

His name is Bepe. That’s all the photo captions say. Im thinking he’s a relation of the family. You can see him in one of EBs movies at the Kehlsteinhaus fooling around outside. Would love to know anymore info if anyone knows?
