The Ideological Origins of Nazi Imperialism
Woodruff D. Smith
Oxford University Press
1989

This study traces the evolution of imperialist ideology in Germany from Bismarck in the mid-19th century through Hitler. Smith argues that it was the way in which Nazis attempted to reconcile two century-old ideologies--the élite, pro-industrial Weltpolitick and the popular-based, pro-agraian Lebensraum--that resulted in Germany's disastrous policies during World War II. This is the first book to treat Nazi imperialism as a separate ideology and set it within a sturdy theoretical framework.

That would be this one:

For those with an interest in German architect Albert Speer I can recommend the profusely illustrated monograph:

Albert Speer: Architecture 1932-1942

I'm looking for information on a sculptor from the Nazi era named Arno Brecher. I dont know if I'm in the right place but a family member found a book, a first edition with Arno Brecher and Adolf Hitlers Names in it. They came to me cause I'm the "expert" on that era. If anyone out there has any info for me I'd greatly appreciate it. I know he has a museum in Cologne.

Whoever has interest in the Nazi architecture (AND can understand German) ought not to miss the "Böse Bauten" (Evil Buildings) series of the 2nd German state TV channel ZDF - available in their "mediatheque" too:

This book is probably already mentioned here (I havn't time to go through all the pages!) though I highly recommend 'inside the third reich' by Albert Speer.

A book that is generally a biography of the life of Albert as he moved through the architectural ranks of the nsp to become one of Hitler most trusted associates and aspiring architect. He then became armaments minister of the reich and his achievements in production even under nightly bombing raids of industrial districts was phenomenal!

It also gives an insight into hitlers most trusted associates. Well worth a read

Hello, I would recommend "Third Reich Collectibles". The Third Reich's insatiable drumbeat pageantry and propaganda produced countless uniforms, insignia, medals, flags, daggers, swords and headgear compromising one of the most desired categories in all of military collectibles to study, understand and own.
I hope you will like it.

I am finding a rich cache of information about Hitler's personal dwellings at the Berghof and his Prinzregentenplatz apartment in "Hitler at Home" by Despina Stratigakos, Yale University Press, 2015. This fine reference work, including photos and schematics, also tells the story of Prof. Gerdy Troost and her firm, Atelier Troost, and her colleagues' vast influence upon Hitler, Speer and the furnishings and interior designs of the Third Reich era. As you might guess, I heartily recommend this book!
