Contributors to this thread might like to know that Google Street View has now come to Germany, so that it's possible to view the NRK site as it currently is - rapidly being built over. This is because the long-running litigation over the Wertheim department store site on the south side of Vossstrasse has now been resolved and the whole area is being redeveloped.

The first photo is taken about halfway up Vossstraße, roughly where the Vossstraße entrance to the NRK was, looking north east, towards Wilhelmstraße. This is the last piece of vacant land on the NRK site.

The second photo is looking up Vossstraße from the corner of Ebertstraße (formerly Hermann-Göring-Straße), showing the new buildings along the north side of Vossstraße.

This photo shows the carpark on Gertrude-Colmar-Straße beneath which the concrete shell of the Führerbunker still lies. Wilhelmstraße is on the far side of the apartment blocks in the background. In the foreground of the photo is the approximate spot where Hitler's body was burned.

This photo shows the view of the NRK site from the eastern side of Wilhelmstraße, near the Mohrenstraße U-Bahn station. We are looking west down Vossstraße. The Borsig Palais, which Speer incorporated into the NRK, stood on the far corner, where the red sign of the Peking Duck restaurant can now be seen.

In this photo we are looking north up Wilhelmstraße from the corner of Vossstraße. On our left would have been, in order, the Borsig Palais, the new frontage of the RK with the balcony, the Old RK and the Foreign Ministry. All were bombed out in February 1945 and later demolished by the Soviets. On our left we can see the DDR-era youth centre (with the blue sign) that occupies the site of the Propaganda Ministry.
