To clear up a little mystery:

Image

In the above photograph posted by Reichssammler we see, from left to right, actor Paul Richter, the Austrian actress Magda Schneider and Hitler's adjutant Max Wunsche.

My guess is that the event is Hitler's 50th birthday party on 20th April 1939 as I have seen similar photographs from the event.

Kind regards.

The ruined hall in your photograph above is the Mosaic Hall where the funerals of Heydrich, Todt and von Reichenau took place. If you scroll through the thread you will see other photographs of the room.

Photographic contributions coming from me shortly when I have some spare time. :)

Kind regards.

Potsdamerplatz,
Thanks for the info...yes, I see now the relationship between the Mosaic Hall photos now (before and after). :) ...damn those Russian artillerymen! :?

I'm looking forward to seeing your contributions! :)

@Potsdamer Platz:

Please tell me how did you find out who this three persons are? :)

Oh this beautiful building and in the last days of the war such a destruction....imagine how would it be to have a dinner in the Reichskanzlei Dinner room.

I have ca. 20 more pictures but at the moment I don´t want to upload them.

But a information:
On my new homepage you can see videos from the ruin of the reichskanzlei...a very rare video too (some russian girls in the Reichskanzlei ruin), many pics and informations also (at the moment only in german, a translation to English and france will come soon).
I need some days for my homepage then I will post a link.

Dear Reichssammler ~

It was elementary as Sherlock Holmes would say. :)

I recognised Max Wunsche in the photograph and found this thread elsewhere on the Axis History Forum:

Thanks.

A friend wants to make a movie about the Reichskanzlei, a amateurmovie (documentation)...he wants to build some parts of the Reichskanzlei in a big empty hall (Hauptportal (main entrance), Hitlers arbeitszimmer (Hitlers working room) and more...even he wants to make a 1:1 replic from the furniture).
I hope he can make the movie, then I can help to build the sets.

But here are some more pics from the Book "Die neue Reichskanzlei- Albert Speer".

These are fantastice, thanks for the images. Now all I would need is a nice schematic of the floor plan for the building.

Jesue Christ....these images are AWESOME! I don't know how (or where) you guys get all these pictures, but I can tell you that I'm in heaven at this moment! I am truly impressed with what I'm seeing in this thread....I almost drooled on my keyboard when I saw the floor plan diagrams....what book did those come from, Reichssammler?

And how difficult is it to get a copy of "Die neue Reichskanzlei- Albert Speer"?

It feels like orgasm :D

Please don´t think that I´m a psycho but sometimes when I see new pics of the Reichskanzlei ruins tears come into my eyes :(
