Some of them seem to be taken after the beginning of the war and before much bomb damage occured.
The series about Nuremberg shows several damaged houses.
Best regards

Re: The Munich Thread
I notice in Munich photos 930436 and 930437
there is building in front of Brown house, exactly across the street. I never see that building before.
Does any body know what was that building?

Look at Johan`s pages, where you can see a map of the whole Konigplatz.

According to this, it was Fuhrer`s deputy and staff house.

Isn't it the so-called Black House? From 1887 until 1934 the Papal nunciature was located opposite the Brown House in Briennerstraße.ihoyos wrote:I notice in Munich photos 930436 and 930437

Best regardsDie päpstliche Nuntiatur (»Schwarzes Haus«) war bis 1934 unmittelbar gegenüber dem »Braunen Haus« in der Brienner Straße gelegen.

Re: The Munich Thread
So I discovered a new reichsadler in Munich last night! Well, its not new and other people may have already seen this but it was the first time I had seen this one. I saw it last night on a cab ride home, I almost asked the driver to stop right there but I didn't have my camera on me. It's a huge building and today, different sections are painted different colors to make them look like separate units, but it looks like it was all one building back them. Its a large, I would say U shaped building with an interior courtyard. I would say it was an apartment building or perhaps a large office. If anyone has any info on this building, I would love to hear the history. I will separate this into a few posts, I took a lot of pictures. Hope you enjoy...

Re: The Munich Thread
What I like about the reliefs on the side, is either the original color is still present, or people have kept it up over the years....
