Above is a fine illustrated edition of Mein Kampf. I have a copy of the book. Mein Kampf was put out in a serialized form with pictures as a pamphlet. After all serializations had been produced, they took these along with the photos and clasped them into a large, oversized (imitation?) calf leather hard cover book with Nazi eagle and swastika on the cover and binding. It's a nice collector's item but can be expensive - I got my copy for about $100.00 10 years ago.

Goering was always a hog when it came to his portrait .

Here is another earliy one I came across the other day. This image might have been posted before on this subject thread.

Goering was always double sized anyway. :)

This is a page (94) from Hoffmann's book Hitler in seinen Bergen (Munich, 1935). The dog was "Muck," one of Hitler's favorite dogs before he got the more famous "Blondi."

I tried to post this one a few years back, but it wasn't very clear. This one should be better.

Cheers,

Larry

I'm curious as to when this was published. Their description of Mein Kampf as being a "wonderful work" and other glowing phraseology making it sound like a work rivaling Biblical importance, makes me think it must have been before AH marched into
Czechoslovakia in 1939.

I have the first couple of parts (of 18 in total). The translators notes in first part are dated February 1939. So I'd guess they would only have been part way through to the 18th instalment in March 1939 when Hitler invaded the rest of Czech. An interesting note on the last page requests you to place a firm order at your newsagent as due to shortage of paper, publishers are to limit their print runs as near as possible to actual requirements.
