Re: Hitler portrait photos
My favourite portrait of Hitler. Posted elsewhere on this forum and recently offered for sale.

Re: Hitler portrait photos
Max do you have any details regarding the sale of the painting shown?
I remember this one billed as a 'Painting retrieved from the Berghof' some time ago. I also liked it and will be painting a replica shortly.

Re: Hitler portrait photos
I do know that it was part of the collection of John Horn and that Malcolm Fisher had it for sale. What happenned to it, I don't know. It was one of the few authentic pieces discussed in the thread atKunstler wrote:Max do you have any details regarding the sale of the painting shown?

Re: Hitler portrait photos
Thanks for the reply Max, that's the thread I remember the portrait from. So it did turn out to have been hung at the Berghof? By the way I'll post a pic of my replica painting on here when I'm done, I'm using the same Hoffman photograph to paint it from as the original.

That I'm afraid I don't know, but it was a genuine painting from the era.Kunstler wrote:So it did turn out to have been hung at the Berghof?

This is the photo that the painting at the top of this page is based on.

Re: Hitler portrait photos
Someone should write a book about why Hitler always posed with his hands or his cap over his genitals.

Re: Hitler portrait photos
Here's a real nice rendering of the (Big-Boy) H. Göring. Love these portraits, and will share them when I find a unique one that has not been seen much.

Re: Hitler portrait photos
Is that a contemporary portrait, or a recent one?
