Karl Bauer was another great German/WWII era painter. Also karl Kunst portraits.

Looking at the photo of Krause, and looking at the first painting shown, it appears he painted his own image in the picture. Hexar

Who is the Knight's Cross recipients depicted in the painting? I only can recognize Sepp Dietrich, Kurt Meyer and Fritz Witt..

I see one more unidentified Ritterkreuzträger (looks like an SS-Sturmbannführer) between Dietrich and Witt. Maybe you know who is he? Is he Peiper?
