Post by bondi » 04 Jun 2009 15:16

I am seeking more information about this very rare book. i here this book was not for general public to buy, but was only available to NSDAP party members. is this correct? Any more information about this book will be most appreciated.

Hello, welcome to the forum!

I recommend you use the "Search button" option, because I remember a link in the forum to a public website where you can download the book you are looking for, complete in PDF, is a scanned version of the original NSDAP publication. But I can´t remember the thread.

Good luck!

bondi,
I might be mistaken, but I believe "1943" was the last edition of the Organizationbuck der NSDAP.

That´s correct. 1943 was the last edition. Even the book "Ich Kampfe", another book to the new party members had the last edition in 1943.

Many thanks Ramon

I much appreciate your input. I have bought a nice 1936 copy, and it is in a very good condition, and looks just like yours. The condition of the book is very good for the age, so previous owner must have taken a lot of care of it. It is nice to hold a very rare book like this. Took me nearly 1 month to find a good quality and reasonable price to find this book.

If you have any more information , i will be gald to hear about this book and its contents.

thanks once again

re: Organisationbuch der NSDAP 1943 edition
Gentlemen,
I have a re-print copy of the 1943 edition of the Organisationbuch der NSDAP. My copy was done in the 1970s and is in very good condition . It really is an amazing resource for the uniforms, weapons, insignia and organizational structure of the Third Reich. I've been looking for any auction site to offer it for sale but most of the "mainstream" sites shy away from this material. If anyone could offer me some advice or info on where I might find a site that will handle it, I'd really appreciate it. You can contact me directly at Saito660@aol.com. Many thanks.

For the price of admission, you could offer it here on the Axis History Forum OR The Wehrmacht Awards Forum. Again, you'd have to join the WAF for 25USD for the privilege of selling on their e-stand.

1943 was the last year of the printed edition of the "Organisationsbuch der NSDAP." There seems to have been discussion about a 1945 edition, but it clearly never got anywhere near book format. This appears in NARA's roll list for the BDC Library Collection (A3345-B-, Roll 11):

"NSDAP Organisationsbuch 1945-1945. Microfilm roll 11: frame(s) 828-963. (Typed notebook - microfilm unreadable - reconstructed by the staff of SS leader Franz Xaver [sic] Schwarz and SA leader Hiller.)"

I have no idea what is in these frames but it would be worth checking out someday.

There does not appear to have been a 1945 edition of the NS Jahrbuch, or a 1945 printing of "Mein Kampf", but "Ich kaempfe" was printed both in 1944 AND 1945. The 1945 edition shows no slackening of the quality of the book - same quality stock and color images as in previous printings. The 1945 edition is identified as "5. Auflage".
